ESP Support Two Worthy Charities This Christmas

As is tradition at ESP, in lieu of Christmas cards we have made donations to two worthwhile charities in need of funding.

In Ireland, we have made a donation to the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) and in particular to their Childline Appeal. This service allows children at risk to have a voice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The ISPCC is the only organisation in Ireland providing unique 24 hour support services for children and young people through our Childline service. Childline receives the majority of its 2,300 calls and messages per day after 6pm each evening, when most other support services are closed. Childline receives no government funding, relying on the generosity of donors and volunteers to help run this vital, unique service.

In North America, we have given a donation to Horizons for Homeless Children, which helps almost 2000 young homeless children in the Massachusetts area.

And here is a message we received from Dianne Luby, President/CEO of Horizons for Homeless Children.

“Can you imagine the delight on children’s faces when they enter a room full of toys, books, games, art supplies, and costumes for make-believe?¬† Children love being at our early education centers and shelter-based playspaces where they can laugh, learn, and grow despite the impact of homelessness.Thank you for your donation to Horizons for Homeless Children”.
