Baha joined the company in October 2009 as General Manager for the region. During his tenure, Baha has played a pivotal role in the winning and development of several key clients and projects across the country. Baha has also been the key player in the hiring and development of the US team.
The Board has appointed Alp Unal as CEO for North and South America for Enterprise System Partners effective from January 1, 2018.
Alp, currently Regional Director, Eastern Europe & Middle East, joined ESP in September 2015, returning to Turkey from US and starting up the Turkish operations for the company. He has had significant success over the past two years, setting up the office and growing the team and forging strategic relationships with new and existing clients.
Prior to joining ESP, Alp worked at J. Knipper & Company as VP, Project Management Office and at Werum as Head of Project Management in US. He has also worked at Bayer, Honeywell, and Roche in US during the early years of his career. In addition, he managed his own consulting firm based out of Istanbul for over 4-years before deciding to join Werum US full time.
Alp was awarded an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business with concentrations on Strategy, Operations Management and MIS. He received his Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Alp also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Orta Dogu Technical University and was the first exchange student to study at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Alp is married and has a 9-year old daughter. Alp and his family will be relocating to Boston.
One of ESPs biggest strengths is the diligence and professionalism of its team and its commitment to exceed its customers’ expectations. Alp has specific expertise across the manufacturing systems landscape and places a strong emphasis on driving operational excellence, developing talent and customer relationship management. These qualities are coupled with his strong business acumen and his genuine connection to the mission and values of ESP.
The Board is confident that Alp is the right choice to build on Baha’s heritage and lead ESP in its next growth phase; a phase that the company expects will see the introduction of new clients, development opportunities for its existing team and the introduction of new team members in the US.
Baha will continue to play a consultative role with the company in the region throughout 2018.
It is the company’s intention to appoint a successor to Alp in the coming months, to continue the development of its team and expansion of its client base in this region. Until this appointment is made, Alp will retain his responsibilities in the territory.
