We are celebrating here at ESP. We have been acknowledged by the ISPE for our involvement in the Pfizer Network Strategy Implementation (NSI) Expansion Capacity project at their site in Grange Castle, Dublin which has been voted ISPE 2014 “Facility of the Year (FOYA) Overall Winner”.
The project had previously been voted “2014 Operational Excellence Award Winner” by the ISPE.
The challenging project involved adding capacity, by re-purposing an existing manufacturing space for a new vaccine suite and a new multi-product small to medium scale drug substance bioprocess suite at the Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals Grange Castle plant in Clondalkin, South County Dublin.
Throughout the project, the team utilized a Lean Management Strategy and also ensured the new manufacturing suites included the latest technologies (i.e. EBR, PAT and Disposable Bag).
Enterprise System Partners were listed as a contributor on the project and it is a great achievement to be connected with prominent industry leaders in technological innovation for pharmaceutical and biotechnology facility design, construction and operations.
At a recent ISA MES Conference, Brendan Jordan ME & MI Systems Support Manager at the Pfizer Grange Castle site, presented on the MBR development for the site using an offsite MBR team. A video of the presentation can be viewed here.
