ESP has moved to strengthen its global serialization alliances and knowledge base by becoming members of two globally recognized and respected organizations – GS1 Healthcare and HDA (Healthcare Distribution Alliance). ESP, as serialization industry leaders, plan that these partnerships will align more closely with ESP’s global organization and thereby allow delivery of enhanced client value.

About GS1 Healthcare

GS1 Healthcare leads the healthcare sector in the successful development and implementation of global standards by bringing together experts in healthcare to enhance patient safety and supply chain efficiencies across the globe.

ESP already partners with GS1’s Ireland Section, providing pharmaceutical manufacturers with the expertise to achieve their serialization and anti-counterfeiting obligations in line with the highest global standards.  Joining GS1 Healthcare allows ESP contribute to GS1 Healthcare activities across the world and help develop global standards.

ESP views this development as a natural progression – enhancing its existing partnership status by collaborating on a more global scale with the leader in serialization standards across the bio-pharmaceutical and life science industry.

About HDA

The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) is the national organization representing primary pharmaceutical distributors in the US — the vital link between pharmaceutical manufacturers and more than 200,000 pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and others across the US.

The organization helps members navigate regulations and innovations through it’s regular member-only events and industry programs.  For ESP, being a member of HDA allows us to leverage our experiences against those of the other 130 manufacturers and 50 service providers that are also members and impart fresh ideas and understanding to our clients.
